The F.H.R. Lim A Po Institute for Social Studies (FHR) is a non-profit private organization, founded March 9, 2000, as a living monument to Frederik Hendrik Rudolf Lim A Po, a fierce advocate of life long learning.

FHR occupies a number of historical buildings of Dutch colonial architecture in the heart of Paramaribo. The buildings have recently been renovated, modernized and fitted according to international standards as a training and education centre.
The principal sponsor of FHR is the Mr. F.H.R. Lim A Po Stichting.
