The requirements for admission to the MPA Program in Governance are:

  • A Bachelors degree or the equivalent of at least three years of study at a recognized university or the Institute of higher education;

  • Preferably a degree of class 2.1, B+ or equivalent;

  • At least two years of professional experience relevant to the MPA in Governance;

  • Proficiency in English. Applicants who are not native English speakers and who have not successfully completed higher education fully conducted in English, have to proof their proficiency test (at least 550 for the TOEFL test* with 4.5 for the TWE).

  • A written commitment from applicant’s employer that he will be released from work when lecturing takes place during daytime.(22 Fridays will be involved during the entire program)

  • A payment of 3.000,- Euro being 50% of the tuition fee of 6.000,- Euro, latest by January 31, 2005. the balance will be due on June 1, 2005.

  • Submission of duly completed Admission Form by January 7, 2005 latest.

* I.O.L. (the Advance Teacher Training Institute) in Suriname, in cooperation with FHR, will provide the opportunity to take a TOEFL equivalent Test of English Proficiency and Standard Test of English Writing (TEP and STEW).
Scholarships may be a available from the Mr.F.H.R. Lim A PO Stichting and possible other sources to cover part of tuition fees.
Applications for I.O.L. English proficiency test and for scholarship should be submitted together with the application for admission to the MPA Program in Governance.
